An evening with JACQUES CRAFFORD | Breaking Down Wedding Cinema

On Tuesday the 23^rd of Feb, 30 aspiring and professional filmmakers ascended on the Con Brio Bistro in Vredehoek to join SunshineCo Events for an informative talk by wedding cinematographer Jacques Crafford.

Jacques travelled all the way from Jeffreys Bay to Cape Town to shoot a wedding and when he contacted us to find out if we could host him we jumped at the chance. Jacques Crafford is one of South Africa’s most popular wedding cinematographers and he has recently decided to start sharing his wealth of knowledge to fellow videographers who are looking to break into the wedding cinematography market.

Jacques’ talk centred around a few main points, namely:

1) From waiting to creating

2) Do your homework

3) Music and Sound

4) Slow Motion

5) Aspect ratio and grading

6) Going the extra mile.

After Jacques finished his talk, he opened the floor for a Q&A session and then we were served a delicious dinner by the Con Brio Bistro.
