SunshineCo CC is a leading photographic studio and rental company with branches in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Our growing Rosebank office currently has a job opening and is seeking to employ a junior office administrator to complement our dynamic team. A permanent position is immediately available to the successful candidate.
The junior office administrator plays a key administrative role in supporting the rentals team and provide an important link between the rentals team, management and clients. Reporting to the Branch Manager, they work in a challenging and competitive environment, performing daily administrative tasks and supporting management to streamline the internal processes of the rental department.
Ideal candidates for the role are efficient and adaptable workers with good all-round administrative abilities, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and crucially, Pastel accounting software. Experience in the photographic and film industry will be beneficial.
The junior office administrator must have excellent customer service skills and strong organisational abilities. Time management and strong secretarial skills are an added advantage, as the position involves taking on diary management duties for the branch manager and taking minutes at meetings.
The chosen candidate will be remunerated at a market related level and the salary will be based on years of experience within the film industry.
PLEASE NOTE : Own transport with a valid drivers licence is a non-negotiable requirement. Being based close to the studio will be an advantage as there will frequently be after hours work and weekend on-call responsibilities.

The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Generating quotations on Pastel
Ensuring that all job sheets/quotes that has been finalised are filed properly.
Assist the rentals team in keeping track of stock leaving the shop and stock coming in.
Planning of rentals division meetings, taking minutes during these meetings and distributing these minutes to relevant members of staff.
Handling customer requests for product pricing, availability and other queries related to rentals.
Booking of monthly travel arrangements for the branch manager.
Maintaining good customer relations.
Answering customers telephone queries.
Regular feedback and updates on completed and ongoing tasks assigned to the administrator by management.
Maintaining client records.
Place orders with suppliers when asked to do so by management. Keep record of all invoices and ensure that the financial director is kept up to date with all outstanding invoices.
Filing documentation associated with day to day activities of the rentals division.
Occasional deliveries to retail outlets when needed.
