Lemeez & Mahidi got married at the sophisticated Cavalli Estate just outside Stellenbosch in the beautiful Helderberg region in the Cape Winelands. As the sun sets on the iconic Helderberg mountain range, from the Cavalli estate you will find yourself sipping your cocktail appreciating one of the best views you can find in the Winelands. The main venue with big modern glass windows framing the mountains was encapsulated by their flower and decor arrangements. “I had so much joy shooting a wedding with the X1D. The image quality is mind-blowing. The thing that impressed me most though is the amount of detail captured in the shadows – this enabled me artistically to push the dramatic contrast much further in my images. The camera is a little slower than the Nikon I’m used to and the amount of lens options 45mm and 90mm took a bit getting used to. Though thinking back it slowed me down to think more about every shot pushing me artistically. In summary, if it wasn’t for the price tag this would have definitely been my go-to camera.”
